About the Department
The Department of Philosophy begins its glorious journey with a general course from the very inception of this respectable institution since 2010. During this time Smt. Bhaswati De were appointed as part-time teachers. With her valuable contribution, the Department of Philosophy of this college has got greatly enriched. After that in 2019, Sri Madan Paul & Sri Krishna Paul joined the college as Visiting Faculty. Now there are Two Teachers in the college. Though our department has no departmental library, our college library is enriched with rare books of Philosophy. Students as well as teachers are benefited from this college library. This department organizes various cultural events, such as World Philosophy Day Celebration, exhibitions, publication of wall magazine, Freshers’ Welcome, special lectures, state level, national level & international level seminars to boost students’ knowledge. Subject-wise lesson plans and study materials are provided through various web links. At present, the total number of seats is not filled, but adequate according to the teacher-student ratio. Students from this department get very good results every year. Many students of our department after obtaining a degree from this college have been well placed in various departments such as education, administrative etc. We feel proud of serving the Philosophy department of this respectable institution.
