The Department of Political Science started its journey from the foundation days of Buniadpur Mahavidyalaya in 2007 as a pass course under the University of North Bengal. Only two Part-time Teachers were associated with the Dept., namely, Satya Priya Mitra and Ashiq Ikbal. After that our college got affiliated to the University of Gour Banga and Political Science became an Honours programme. Departmental works are done very successfully and results of students are gradually showing a steady improvement. Satya Priya Mitra later got upgraded as SACT-II. P.T.T., Mohobub Alam joined our college on 23/10/2009 and later got upgraded as SACT-II. Both are closely attached with the department. Earlier, Full Time Asst. Professor Nilanjana Mitra Mallik joined our Dept. and after two years she got transferred from the college to a different one. The Department of Political Science is committed to provide the best to students aspiring to pursue a career in Political Science and allied courses.
